Because COPE is working towards caring for and finding homes for all the animals that come our way, we need volunteers. Below are some of the areas in which we require assistance. Even an hour a week is greatly appreciated.
ADOPTION COUNSELORS and ANIMAL CAREGIVERS: We have pets that are housed at Adoption Centers at the PETCO in Shorewood, IL and the PETSMART in Joliet, IL. COPE Adoption Counselors are needed on Saturdays and Sundays at both locations. We also need volunteers to care for the pets in the mornings and evenings (once a week am or pm helps!).
Foster Homes for cats and dogs. COPE provides food and veterinarian care.
Bottle feeders for motherless kittens.
TNR (trap/neuter & return), assisting people who need help trapping and transporting.
Computer work, newsletters,etc.
Photographer (taking pictures of the adoptable cats and dogs.)
Baking and selling for Bake Sales (we usually have 5 bake sales a year) We need baked goods as well as volunteers to sell bakery and our miscellaneous pet products (including: pet magnets, doggie bandanas, COPE t-shirts and sweatshirts, key chains, etc.).
FUNDRAISING – lots of different opportunities. New ideas to raise funds always welcome!
